SARASOTA, Fla. – May 1, 2025 – The 2025 Suncoast Boat Show celebrated its 43rd year of reeling in boating enthusiasts, industry experts, and media to the popular event that takes place at Marina Jack in downtown Sarasota’s waterfront. Multiple sales were reported by exhibitors.

Attendees had the opportunity to donate to Mote Marine Laboratories when purchasing tickets via the boat show website, in support of the nonprofit organization that works to protect and conserve our marine resources. In the past three years, the Suncoast Boat Show has raised $5,790 for Mote Marine Laboratories and the new aquarium, expected to open this Fall. Mote Science Education Aquarium will be an iconic, educational and outreach hub that vastly improves access to marine science and technology for an estimated three million residents living within a 60-minute drive and visitors from around the world, representing a rebirth of the current Mote Aquarium.  

Children and adults joined the standing-room only seminar tent to see Captain Don Dingman’s fishing clinic.  He hosts his very popular Hook the Future education program at major boat shows and events across the Southeast, teaching thousands of families how to succeed in fishing while spending quality time together outdoors. Each child in attendance received a free Carolina Skiff custom rod and reel combo as well as lots of free raffle prizes.
